10th Street River Festival
VFW Post 76 is the oldest VFW Post in Texas, chartered in June 1917.
VFW Post 76 hosts the three-day Fiesta event known as the “10th Street River Festival” during the second week of Fiesta on Thursday thru Saturday.
The family friendly event is free and open to the public; with live entertainment, dancing, and camaraderie (food and beverage for purchase.)
The proceeds from our Fiesta event funds our veteran programs, youth scholarships, recognition awards for our local law enforcement and first responders and community events.
Our mission is to serve our fellow Veterans, the military and our community.
VFW Post 76 provides a safe environment for combat veterans to foster meaningful relationships in a patriotic and friendly setting.
We are a nonprofit organization that has supported our local community military, veterans, and their families through various means since 1917.
VFW Post 76 is unique in that we own the historical Petty House along the Museum Reach of the Riverwalk at the end of 10th Street and our building and Canteen are open to the public. We also provide live music performed by a DJ or band offered free of charge on the weekends.
